What are they?
Mint Threads are the latest FDA approved technology used to firm and tighten the skin. The thread is made from a smooth polydioxanone (PDO), a commonly used internal suture material (used to close wounds) that slowly breaks down over 4 months. As it breaks down, a strong network of collagen forms around the thread. This new collagen firms, tightens and plumps up the skin, reducing fine lines and wrinkles.
Who is it good for?
Mint Threads are amazing for those really hard to treat areas like necks, jawlines, and chests, but can be used virtually anywhere to tighten and firm the skin. I have seen some incredible results with stretchmarks too! Some other common areas to treat are crows feet, frown lines, naso-labial folds and jowls, but the list is really endless.
Does it hurt?
This is a really quick procedure that is very tolerable for most, however I do carry topical local anesthetic for those that may be a little nervous around needles.
How much does it cost?
The cost is $10.00 per thread and I treat in packs of 10. Minimum spend of $100. If more than 10 are required the cost goes down per thread.
What are the side effects?
As with any injection, the most common side effect is slight bruising and swelling but swiftly subsides.
